As they get more of a sun tan and get darker with age the veining gets blotted out.

I have family in hydroponics and aquaponics nothing is quite the same when grown in a greenhouse unfortunately. Tomato’s, lettuce, strawberries, all taste like water, herbs have half the flavour but greenhouses do give you a much longer growing season!

My family is also why I’m a adamant outdoor grower.

I agree that outside produce is the best. Although the winter cherry tomatoes and strawberries from Ontario are very good these days. Herbs do seem to be ok grown inside.

Strange one, the fading tubes, I have never seen them change from red to green before, they normally get more colour as the season progresses, even in the GH. The ony time anything gets greener is a lack of light, but if that were the case it wouldn't have started off red. Genetics?
