Western Newfoundland purps and drosera

perrywing

Sprout
Sarracenia purpurea ssp purpurea in a bog on the western coast of Newfoundland, not far from Corner Brook. A lot of bright red pitchers and flowers, and tons of drosera rotundifolia. Mostly small white moths in the pitchers, a few grasshoppers and wasps. The moss was a foot deep in spots. Also the blackflies really REALLY like human flesh!
