The turion I harvested this fall has started to re-open and I thought I would share photos as it opens. Sorry to anyone who hasn’t seen a turion in the fall, I didn’t think to take a picture. This one was roughly circular and about the size of a loonie as a turion. If you haven’t held one they are surprisingly dense and have a kind of gel/slime coating kinda like the coating on snail eggs.

I’ll take more pics as it grows
