Hey everyone!

We have upgraded the forum to the newest version to make things continue to run smoothly. There are new features that we are going to look into adding and will continue to improve the forum.

We’ve added a couple of new reaction emoji for fun and we can add any emoji people would like, if there is one people would like to see added or know of a fun one just let us know or send us a link.

If there is anything members would like to see added to the forum or improved please let us know and we would be happy to look into it. We’re hoping to finally get a logo done and added the forum and update more of the culture sheets, any suggestions or requests for either of these things are encouraged and welcomed.

@KingLouisCLXXII those are great suggestions, I will look into removing the message delay limit, we don’t typically have an issues with spam via PM so I see how reason not to remove this delay. That should be fairly straight forward.

Can’t definitely up the limited on group conversations too, I believe we just stuck with the default setting on that one.

I will add more emoji support, I have to add them individually but I see no reason not to add loads and loads of them for general use. The reaction emoji I think we should keep down to a handful so it doesn’t get too cluttered but we could definitely add some more still.

@Jake Chickenbark sadly we can’t allow pictures to be sent via PM as there is no way to track if anyone is abusing it, if we had people sending hundreds of pictures the forum disk space would be eaten up quickly with no way to track where that was coming from. There might be a way to allow temporary photos in PMs and that could be a work around. I will look into possible solutions for this as it’s something that would be nice to have for everyone.
 
When I try to upload a picture now from my phone it gives me an error.

"The uploaded file was not an image as expected."

It's a normal picture from my phone (Samsung S23)

I can still upload those same pictures from my computer without issue.

When the moderators use the spam function, it only deletes the spam from view. To permanently delete them, you have to delete them one by one, which can be tedious.

Hey H2O, that's a good point. I would say temporary pictures or allow up to a number of pictures (say 5?) in each private chat per user per day? I hope this won't be too much work, and thank you for considering my suggestion!:D

Would you be able to post what the file type is on your phone? Did this just change since the last update? I haven’t run across this problem yet and will look into it.

I will look to see if you need to be an admin to use that function or if I can add it to the moderator privileges. Another thought is that we have a small enough member recruitment that we could turn on manual approvals for new members and weed out the spammers before they have a chance to post.

That kind of thing sounds great! I will see what kind of options we have. I can also do some test with you to see how we could make it work.
 
Files are normal .JPG
If I copy to my computer they upload fine.
It just started after the update.

I just tested a bunch of photos and some upload from my phone and some don't. One I just took now uploaded fine but ones that I took this morning won't upload??

Let me mess with it a bit on my end and see if I can find the issue.

@KingLouisCLXXII All registered members can bypass the wait time between messages! I have also upped the limit from 5 to 25 for group conversations. If you feel like we need to up the limit more just let me know and I would be happy to do so, I figured most group orders are 25 members or less so that should work. I will work on Emoji support next.

@Muckydoo please let me know what you find out, there is an image-optimizing option we could turn on but I'm not sure this is your issue.

We removed the option to have users delete their posts after issues of members deleting posts in the middle of a thread and making subsequent replies appear out of context.

There is an option to limit the time someone can delete their posts but unfortunately it's tied to editing, so members wouldn't be able to edit sales posts after the set time. I can talk to the other moderators and see if this is something we can change in the future.
 
Awesome! It might have been an issue around updating the forum and your phones cache, glad it’s working now. I’m looking at implementing the imagine optimization option as that might help people load photos better as well, and as bonus they will take up far less space.
 
Could larger images be supported? Maybe up to 10 or 15mb and larger resolution? I’ve been having trouble with uploading full res pics recently and I find I need to compress them to get them to upload properly
