U. alpina 'Henri Pittier'

U. alpina 'Henri Pittier' has flowers that are much larger than my regular alpina.

Nice flowers. I'm hoping the clump I have will decide to flower at some point like yours.

Mine flowered the first time after a bit of a dry spell.... Meaning I forgot to water it for a bit.

I remember that conversation. I recently just repotted mine into a slightly larger and taller container with no drainage holes. Not sure how well the soil breathes but I haven't really watered it in a while.

My U. alpina 'Henri Pittier' grown in turface, perlite and lava rock has decided to flower.

I don't know why it's flowering, it's living a miserable life in turface. It was an experiment that has been going on for a few years.

I still have this U. alpina 'Henri Pittier' growing in a full mineral mix. It does have moss on top now, so that adds a bit of organics to it.

And it's flowering again, along with my regular U. alpina in LFS

Must have been the spring temperature increase that triggered it.
