Tomatoes

The cherry tomatoes are ripening on the vine and these medium sized tomatoes are ready to eat. Lots more on the plants, still green.

My winter microdwarf tomatoes :) I was too busy to get them started in late August-early Sept so there won’t be homegrown tomatoes for Christmas this year but there should be some right before it’s time to start my outdoor summer ones!

@DaniL ... these seeds you sent me for this microdwarf — they are the bomb! I put two plants in the hydroponics bin, and the plants quickly took over. Not a problem because they produced a lot of delicious fruit. About a week ago, I moved them to a raised bed and they have adapted. New growth this morning. Some dry leaves, but they have become a bit of a bonsai project :) Love them, thanks!

@DaniL and @Joanie .. are those micro tomatoes Red Robin? I have 3 of these compact 10" -12" plants in the veggie garden and can't believe the yield. So far I've harvested about a dozen tomatoes from each plant and lots more coming, so dense that the wee plants have to be propped up :). Impressive! I plan to grow some over winter, such a treat!
