Sending a Direct Message

Also any complaints must be by PM's. No public shaming or flaming. If you feel a fraud was perpetrated, PM one of the staff.
Hey Lloyd I notice when I pm somebody the response still shows up on my profile, is there a way to set it to be a truly personal message? I see check boxs to add people or for people to join. Is it because I check those that the replies show up on my profile? I want to know how to truly message someone discreet on this forum.

This should work for you:

Select their profile name.

That will bring up their profile menu with the private message option.

Here is the the private message window.

You can send private messages to multiple people but you will have to remember their names and manually type them in.

I understand how to send a direct message my issue is it showes up in my profiles replies for everyone to see and I want to privately message I dont want a paper trail of me talking to everyone. Is there a way to stop this and actually make it a personal message. I feel like you direct message people on this forum and they respond with an emoji because they dont want this big long message thread for every single person to read on their profile. Or am I mistaken and only the people direct messaging can see these replies when going to each other's profile.

You can also comment on people’s profiles and everyone can view those.

A message here everyone will be able to view.

I just experimented by sending some PM's to @clintonanger. It seems that if you tick the edit function at the top of the PM that says "allow inviting other members", those PM's show up only on your profile, under "posts". I couldn't see any PM's at all on his profile. So either way, the PM's seem private.

Thanks again for confirmation on this Lloyd
