First isolate the plants.
Sometimes some detrivores look like mealy bugs. Especially if the plants are not harmed.
If you want to keep the plants (mealybugs are tenacious and serious pests):
In an area separate from your other plants, remove all media (mealy bugs go into the roots), and with a fine forceps remove each bug. Then keep them isolated in some sort of container and moisten the roots now and then. Keep doing this until no more mealies appear after a week or two. If you have Willy's systemic use it as directed. Other pesticides will damage pings but may be a last resort.
Mealies are bad but can be dealt with.

Mealy bugs that you can visually see can be killed on contact with a small wet brush (eg a artists paint brush) dipped with rubbing alcohol...however as Llyod said, do isolate the infected plants. Mealys can be amywhere on the plant, planter, cup etc. the male mealys do fly and can infect other plants nearby... Do consider replanting the plant in the spring and maybe douse it wilth neem seed bath and some low concentration of dawn dishwater... This might be repeated until you see no more mealy bugs.
Pings are very sensitive to everything. Test any chemical on a leaf/plant you don't mind damaging.

I found bugs on three young plants which I keep separate from my collection.
I have removed bugs using dry cotton q-tip and check all other plants with magnification glass (have only 40 pings), so didn't spend too much time... didn't find bugs on the rest of plants.
About two month ago I also found on leafs several red spider mite.

With spider mites the plants usually look sick before you see the mites or webbing. Mealy bugs are more obvious but even then you usually find them because the plant stops thriving and you observe it more closely. Sometimes they're just on the roots sucking the plant's energy. Of course it is a good habit to carefully inspect your plants with a loupe looking for pests on a regular basis. But most of us don't unless the plants don't look healthy.

Just pick them off. And keep the plants separate.
Pings don't like anything oily, which includes neem oil. Aphids aren't horrible. They are big enough to pick off. Quarantine. Aphids are born pregnant so it may take a while. Systemic should help.
