Hmm, is it not possible to order some from a US store?

I live in the states and I'll be willing to order and ship a container over, although preferably someone double checks to make sure that if I put fertilizer on the customs it'll get through fine. Right now on Amazon it's $43 for a 1.5 lb container, which should basically last a lifetime unless you're running a greenhouse.

There is no technical vendor of Maxsea in Canada!! Find someone that has a US postal box or access to one. Smallest size is 1.5 lbs, but that could last an eternity

How have you been able to ensure an ultra clean working area? Laminar flow or a very clean spot to work in without air flow? Let me know as this is something that has always been interesting to me. Thanks.

My MaxSea becomes mucky really quickly if I start taking some out. I always do it really quickly and seal it as soon as possible. But still it absorbs water from the air and gets muddy. I know it's still ok to use. Does anybody have any secret/magical way to avoid this?

You could use a food dehydrator to dry the maxsea, it can reduce the muckiness. It does take a long time and the smell isn't very pleasant (so don't do it in the living room like I did!).

I have used those silica packets to minor success. Whenever we get a bit one from somewhere I throw it into the maxsea container.

I have never had it go mucky, just clearly damp compared to dry dry sand

If you grow a lot of pings and succulents maybe try Shultz cactus fertilizer and dilute 1/4. I've heard a lot of the sellers in the states are switching from MaxSea to Shultz because the former can encourage browning heart disease.

AH REALLY?! I've been struggling with browning heart so much lately. Wonder if this is part of it. I always use Max Sea. I've been losing 1-3 pings per week for a while now. It's driving me insane!!!!

I find the browning goes away when you use inorganic media.

I use very diluted maxsea, around- not-over 100 ppm.

FYI. Amazon Canada has the 1.5lb available. Took a couple weeks to get and was $65. Now I have about 3lbs of it which should last we about 10 years
