Maxsea Canada

Clusty

Seedling
Hey,

where do you guys buy maxsea in Canada ?
I would like to get some hopefully in a slightly larger quantity 0.5lbs or more.

I think it's only available in the states?

It's been discussed wether or not maxsea is required vs any other brand of even NPK values. I have yet to do any real tests, but I have used orchid fertilizer (garden works brand) with no I'll effect.

I have a small amount but it goes a long way when diluted. I wouldn't want a lot around because it absorbs water and turns to mush. Still works but yucky.

I don’t like having a ton of different ferts around. Up until now I was using dynagro foliage pro for all my plants. The containers is close to empty so time to try a new fertilizer :)

In deed, I bought a bottle of it and it will go bad before I can use a fraction of it. wish I had bought a lot less. Now it's turning dark and smelly and I will probably have to throw it and I have not even used 1/4 of the bottle.

You mean a bottle of powder or premixed ?
I was under the impression that it’s very hydrophilic and it will just clump with no Ill effects.

I have a bottle of the powder, ready to mix. I take just a tiny bit in 500ml of water and I have it for 2 years now. Only have used like 1/4 of the bottle in 2 years. I feed my seedlings every week or 2 weeks.

I don't remember where I bought it, maybe ebay? not sure.

Thanks.
There Is only 1 guy that sells it in a decent amount ( not a tiny ziplock bag)
He does not seem to ship to Canada.

I think I had originally bought it from this site:
Maxsea Fertilizer for sale Canada (bradsgreenhouse.com)

The .5 lbs bottle and it's way too much for my needs. I should have bought less. Why do you need so much? Honestly you go a very long way with a tiny amount and it's better to buy it more often so it's more fresh.
I have a huge plant collection ( beginner carnivorous ).
I was looking and a lot of ppl use the same fertilizer for multiple plants. I was hoping this could become my default choice of fert.

You can buy larger quantity from bradsgreenhouse. I found the order I had place on 2018 from ebay, but the link I posted earlier is the same seller:

Don't forget that you must dilute it a lot and not feed the plants as often as I do for my seedlings, so I think if you buy .5lb you would be good for a very long time. I originally bought 1lb, and I should have bought 150 gr and that would have lasted me probably the whole year. Anyway you can contact them and they can sell you larger quantity probably. With the 1lb bottle I think I could have fed 2 large greenhouses full of sarracenias for 2 years!
