Hitchhiker ID in U. Livida?

anybody know what this cute lil plant is? it’s popped up and gotten tall pretty fast, and now seems to be sending out a tiny flower. want to know if it will take over, and if u guys think i should pull/toss or pull/isolate and continue growing separately!

Looks like a Utricularia sandersonii (bunny ears). This one was from Willy's most recent sale. If it’s a match to yours keep it! Always interesting to see what sprouts from Willy's CP packages :)

not to rain on your parade but i don’t believe that is u. sandersonii :(….. at first i was so excited because ive never seen an utric grow upwards in such a way but now i think it may be too good to be true :p i cant find a photo of the plant foliage anywhere else. do you have a picture of that plant with the flowers open?
 
I agree that the mystery hitchhiker isn't U. sandersonii. Here's a sarr pot I have that has both U. sandersonii and the pearlwort(?) hanging out.

The sandersonii is the one immediately to the right of the sarracenia, with the kind-of fat looking leaves. Unfortunately no open flowers on the sandersonii, and the pearlwort seems to be trying to die off for the season. But you can see that they don't really look alike.

@Trapper J - you may very well have some U. sandersonii in that pot somewhere. I can't see it in the pic, but it's pretty good at hiding.
 
Pearlwort grows quite prolifically under the right conditions, it's a ground cover plant that stays small and short. They are good for absorbing unwanted nutrients and minerals in the soil, improving soil health and preventing salt build-ups. They are relatively easy to remove, just make sure you remove the roots altogether. They don't have massive roots so they are likely harmless to the surrounding carnivorous plants. When I pull them out, I feed them to my isopods and goldfish.

This was my first "Utricularia sandersonii" so I didn't know what the seedling should look like. I was really pleased that it sprouted. Guessing the U. sandersonii didn't make it but the stowaway pearlwort did. My apologies. Continuing learning.
