So it turns out these pings all took to growing on a rock super easily. I even tossed @Lloyd Gordon 's gibba mat in the tray.

I left one of the leaves that fell off a hemiepiphytica x gypsicola on a wet rock and it rooted with no issues too.

Yeah they pretty much sit in a tray of water. The rocks are aquarium rocks though, so they aren't particularly absorbent like pumice would be. Most of the moisture is coming from either the moss wicking water or from me occasionally spraying.

Are they a tufa rocks or other type?
 
I received several pings from @Muckydoo about a month ago. Canada Post fumbled the delivery, through no fault of Muckydoo's, resulting in them being locked up in the wrong mailbox out in the sun for 3 days during a heatwave.

They all survived the ordeal, thanks in part to Muckydoo's excellent packaging.

Here's the recovery process:
Left to right: 'Johanna', agnata 'El lobo', cyclosecta

June 21: Heat-damaged leaves are dying, but the growth points all look fine.

Aug 1: All have recovered and are actively growing. Johanna and cyclosecta are colouring up nicely and have completely replaced their old leaves. The agnata seems to have taken a bit longer to acclimate to my conditions but is starting to speed up.

I took several leaf pullings from the cyclosecta and threw them into my tank. They're doing very well there also.

I picked up a cheap raynox super macro adapter for my 60mm macro lens that lets me increase the magnification from 1:1 to 2:1
