Willy's TC Journey

Nepenthes clipeata has been living in this jar for over a year. It's time to replate it and give it new nutrients.

How's your success with deflasking Drosera? Each of my attempts have ended in failure even though they were thriving in TC. I had them under a humidity dome and medium-ish lights.

I agree. I've had success with dews on live LFS. Also the importance of using a sprayer to get every smidgen of agar, even checking the second day. It's amazing how itsy bits get stuck in the roots.

They'd do well if you plant them in live sphagnum moss. Don't forget to clean out all the nutrient gel!
Thanks! I'll give live sphag a shot next time I deflask some. Do you leave them in live sphag or do you transfer them out into a peat mix after a while? Also, do you treat with any fungicides?

No fungicides needed. If you have springtails they will be very helpful cleaning and feeding your plants. You may leave them in live moss, the sphagnum shouldn't overgrow your Drosera plants unless they are super tiny.

Ah Ill give springtails a try too, I have a ton of them so this will be a good use for them haha
