Whats your blooming technique? Just dry it out a little? I ahve ALOT of this plant (U longifolia), but find it somewhat 'weedy' and mine never seems to produce flowers :(

How often do Utrics flower? My wife love Pings for their flowers but if I kept some clear glass containers full of nothing how long do we wait?

Depending on the Utricularia species, it can bloom all the time like U. sandersonii once established, or once a year or less.
Temperate Pinguicula typically blooms once a year; Mexican Pinguicula blooms as often as they feel like, some clones are easier to bloom than others.

Dear carnivorous plant lovers, here's a new puzzle. This Utricularia looks similar to U. subulata but the flower is much bigger (see 2nd pic for comparison) and there are sticky glands along the flower stalks. The leaves are larger than the typical U. subulata too.
Anyone knows what it is?? Maybe a super subulata?

I have U. praelonga in some of my pots so I know it is available in Canada.
Do you have two different leave types in the pot ?
Also, U. prehensilis have yellow flowers but the size of calycifida.

Those two look similar but I don't think they match 100%.
One experienced grower suggested that it could be another strain of U. subulata.
It is a nice Utricularia nonetheless, the flowers are bigger, the sticky dew are really cool and sticky. I'll try to propagate more to share in the future. :)
