When my son was in highschool he had a classmate that had a BMT, that young man has been cancer free for 4 years now. Praying for the same positive outcome for you.
Hello everyone! I hope that you are doing well!
I just wanted to update you that I have passed the danger period of the BMT treatment. The intensive chemos have killed off the white blood cells and stem cells, along with other good cells. It was really painful and uncomfortable for the past few weeks.
Currently, the blood cell counts are slowly increasing (previously zero), meaning that the stem cell transplant was successful and the stem cells are working again!
I am still very weak and lack energy. It will still take a long time for my body to recover from chemo side effects and cell regrowth.
