Willy's health update

How have you been lately? I hope that you are doing well.
I've gotten the CT scan report from the oncologist. Good news is that most of the things are stable and normal, thankfully. Bad news is the lymph node mass near the left lung has grown twice the size from 2 months ago, 4 times bigger compared to August's result. There are also some sclerotic lesions in the iliac bones found in May but they remain unchanged.
The most important thing right now is to figure out what the lymph node mass is, hopefully not cancerous. The second thing is to find out more about the lesions.
I'm going to have a minor surgery for special biopsy in mid November, they estimate 4 hours for the operation. It sounds scary, please pray for me.
I will be getting a PET scan in December to get some updated readings to monitor and to see if the lesions could be problematic.
Other than that I have been feeling alright. The tiredness, coughs and random pains are still present but nothing too serious to complain about. I've been actively exercising, taking walks around the park and playing badminton - it seems to be very helpful. Taking care of plants has been very helpful as well. My health conditions seem to be slowly improving. Just need to keep staying strong and positive, keep fighting! :)
You are brave!

Willy, my thoughts are with you. Even when it becomes seriously challenging, remember that you ARE stronger than you think!! There are many, many people in your corner (just in this community even), pulling for you. Once you know specifically what you are dealing with you can focus on treatment options and moving forward. Hard work but you are doing what is needed. You've got this! Sending positive energy your way.

sounds promising Willy, hope all goes well with upcoming opps and scanes ,we wish you the best for all ,keep on keeping on, plants were a great help to me when the time was at its worst too . helps clear the mind and keep it occupied :)

Hello everyone!
I've just met with the oncologist and reviewed the results for the latest PET scan and special biopsy yesterday. Unfortunately, the cancer is back and I'll need chemotherapy treatment asap. The current waiting time is quite long but they hope to get me started in 3 weeks. I have been not feeling too well recently, so hopefully it doesn't get worse too quickly.
Looking on the bright side, they have a new treatment plan for me, a more intensive chemo treatment. If the chemo doesn't work well, there's a new T cell treatment I could try afterwards. I'm in good hands. :)
Fortunately, the cancer tumors are not as crazy looking as last time, and my health conditions have improved over the year, so I think I'll be okay.
Please keep me in your prayers and good thoughts. It's gonna be a long battle, I'll not give up. Thank you for your support and care!
It has been quite a year, to be honest I'm not too upset with the bad news - it's actually great to know what's going on and know that there's a plan for treatment. It's not ideal but I'm pretty tough, like a Drosera capensis, cancer won't be able to take me down easily.
Anyway, I hope you are doing well and keep posting plant photos! Enjoy the winter holidays!
Willy
