I think I am a bit late to this thread, but I found Sundews (not sure what kind) at what I believe to be Goose Lake, a short hike from Morton Lake provincial park just north of Campbell River. I was shocked to get home and discover how many are in BC through a bit of research as I thought there weren’t any native in Canada!

Never to late. A nice dense cluster of drosera rotundifolia. Nice find. Its cool to see how they can thrive in lower light conditions as well.

Interior southern BC adventure at 2000 meters above sea level. Bogs, meadows and swampy lakes. No carnivourous plants seen.

At southern interior BC, I have found sundews, butterworts and bladderworts before. However, they are much harder to find there

Went to Blind bog cranberry picking today!

Seen loads of the newly described carnivorous, Western False Asphodel or Triantha occidentalis

And of course lots of Drosera rotundifolia

Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, Radar hill, Canso 11007 plane crash site.

Did a highly recommended hike for anyone in the area who wants to see bogs, carnivorous plants and plane crashes.

Annnd! Even though it’s not the season for it I managed to find some Drosera rotundifolia. Just about all were still in winter hibernacula but by spotting last years flower stalks I found them. I imagine this spot is bristling with them in the summer, I did not see sign of any other sundews, pinguicula or Darlingtonia californica

but they could be there!

Hamilton marsh, Coombs, Vancouver Island.

Looked interesting on google maps so I had to check it out.

Cool marsh but no sign of Sphagnum or carnivorous plants at this time although I’m sure there would be Utricularia showing up later in the year.

I have been there a few times over the years. Once the water level drops you can find sundews on the moss near the edge. It is a nice little place.

Ended up way into bog territory today looking for snow and a Christmas tree. Checked out access to a bunch of new unexplored bogs for future bog trips.
