VFT flowering

Carnivorous Plant Addict
It depend of what you want:
  • If you want some seeds for having more Dionaea, let the flower grow, it is self-pollinating.
  • If you want a bigger dionaea, cut the flower because it drain energy from the plant and after un flower, the plant is smaller for few months.

Well from I have read VFT have much of a hard time growing new traps after the flower stalk has bloomed. The wild VFT in the states don't suffer growth stunt after blooming since they are well acclimated outside and they don't freeze to death when dormant.
