Now that Covid seems to be sickening less people let’s do this!

The plan is to get out some weekend in June, I’m flexible as to what weekend we pick. I will be driving but have a limited number of seats. I might be able to rope in another driver but more would be great 4x4 or AWD in good shape with a spare tire. Must be capable of driving over at times grapefruit sized gravel sections on the roads and ok with some bushes possibly leaving scratches down the sides.

We should be able to find the newly described carnivorous, plant Triantha occidentalis (photo by Nick)

Also Drosera anglica, Drosera x obovata, Drosera rotundifolia and Pinguicula vulgaris and possibly Utricularia macrorhiza.

Weather is unpredictable at all times of the year the temperature can range from 10-30 degrees C and be socked in with condensing fog, bucking rain or sweltering sun. We will be hiking, you will get wet feet so bring a change of clothes, socks, shoes, jacket, food and water, whatever you need.

We have picked a date for the excursion. June 25,

Let’s meet at my place at 8:30am and get rolling by 9, as it’s on the way and pretty much central, there’s a gas station and a tim hortons nearby.

Message me for my contact info and any more details you may need.

Lloyd if you ever make it out to the island I will schedule a greenhouse tour and we can hit up 5-6 greenhouse and then the mountain bogs! When Hal came out years ago we also timed out the BBQ for that weekend.
