Trading Post Blacklist

A long time ago the account pexotics on ebay caught my eye... they had some seeds that seemed to good to be true but no plants. I proceeded to send a message asking if they had plants, and there response was no they only sell seeds they dont grow plants. So i said okay, i am interested in some nepenthese seeds, if you dont grow the plants they came from can you share where they are from and how fresh they are so i can proceed with an order. They never responded and they blocked me instead so i could not leave feedback. So like the people above said... stay away

A very diverse bunch of seeds. Like a lot of places, it's hard to figure out where they're from or how old they are. Some interesting seeds, might be worth losing a few $. Just avoid any expensive seeds or ones that lose viability quickly.

They do have good feedback, hopefully legit.

Yeah i dont know... i cant say they arent legit and i cant say they are because i havent ordered from them, just the way they responded when i asked where the seeds came from and that he blocked me made me think its a scam

On Facebook in 2017 I gave away some D. nidiformis seeds Rick took them under a pseudoname. He even asked for a picture then re-used that picture on his eBay lol. That picture is still on there today. Guess I should've watermarked it. And he also changes the dates of the harvest to make it look fresher than it actually is

I checked his feedback.
99+% were from buyers with usernames with the exact same format:

The odds of this happening by chance are infinistesmal.

Stargazer Exotics (Etsy) & Whimsy and Wonder Seeds (wonderseeds.ca)

I think these sellers are from the same organization. When I was first starting, I purchased seeds from Etsy and their website. I purchased Drosera seeds and some for caudex plants. First of all, they give you such a small amount for a premium price. For example, Drosera admirabilis (5 seeds for $15). None of these germinated.

Even for the caudex plant seeds I purchased on Etsy, I sent a help ticket, and they implied it was a grower skill issue. They offered to send another set for $6 and those didn't germinate either. I purchased the same seeds from a different nursery and they germinated so I highly suspect their seeds were bad.

CarniSeeds (Etsy)

I purchased two kinds of Drosera seeds a few months back. None of these germinated and the seller didn't reply to my message.

Has anyone bought isopods from stargazer? It seems like he outsources his seeds from another questionable company but his reptile/invertabrate stuff seems good, can anyone confirm?

His isopods are outsourced as well, he said somebody in Regina does it for him when I talk to him. I was going to get some because he's in town and I asked about a couple that were available on the website and he said he didn't know if he actually had them but he would check with his supplier in Regina.

There is a thread here about this;

The whimsy one had too much variety and too much cutesiness. Hard to believe anything harder than carrot seed would germinate. 5 common dew seeds in a package is suspicious.
Isn't stargazer for reptiles?
I've bought cacti seed from Etsy with reasonable results.

I wonder who that supplier is? They seem to have a really good selection
