The bugs channel

My kid almost stepped on this woodlouse spider on the sidewalk this morning, but it's bright red body caught my eye and I stopped him from squashing it. Instead, we stopped to watch it scuttle away.

figured Id share this one as well

I broke my cherry last week. I spend a lot of time outdoors with my hobbies (fishing, camping, hunting etc ..) for most my life and found this little bastard stuck on my neck when I got home ..

Female deer tick. this is one you have to be careful with as it's a carrier of Lyme disease and a lot of others. I was lucky that it wasn't on my neck for long enough to be concerned , plus not symptoms. I believe I killed it while bringing my gear bag in my place. strap around my neck. still have to use a tick removal card to get it off.

oh ive checked those out before. lol. spending as much time in the bush as I do.. I have a buddy who get them all the time from his dogs and being outside. couldn't believe I never had them before. I also got tested a few months ago for tick related disease's just to check.. symptoms are very similar to a flu/cold I think. but never had the bullseye rash thats a dead give away to go to the doctor

I threw a couple of carrots in with my Amardillidium Vulgare Tangerine before I left, and the carrots continued to grow making a playground for the little guys.
I've tossed in chia seeds before and they've grown until they get their heads chopped off by these little guys.
