Terrarium Setup Ideas

Looking for suggestions (and will chronicle outcome).

I picked up a small terrarium on the cheap (and three new pings!).

Planning to use lava rock and moss, maybe wood? Something else?

I will be adding in a sad sundew, hoping it cheers up in the enclosure.

If anyone has ideas, please share!

This is almost self sustaining and would be similar to what you have to work with. Ikea dome planted with pings only (maybe ehlersiae), on lava rock, and with live sphagnum. I clean the dome every so often, add a bit of water, and push the sphagnum down. No flowers since I stopped feeding - a bit of an experiment that.

And post pics once you've set up your terrarium!

No concerns about the air flow? or do you remove the glass regularly?

Air flow - no. It's under LEDs, not sun. I cleaned the glass in late Sept. Before that, probably months. I actually watch the moss more as an indicator. And it does look dry. I'll clean it up and post a pic with the dome off. I've tried this with drosera from seed (I don't remember which) - they sprouted but did not like the lack of attention ;-)

Temu has ones looking quite nice ..around $9.00 and up
