Spotted a few N. Viking for sale in the Courtenay BC, Canadian Tire if anyone wanted one.

I never really see anything like that for sale here in Manitoba besides the usual Dionaea muscipula at Rona's. I am going to assume since BC has a wholesale nursery (Hawaiian Botanicals), that may explain why the selection of plants in BC is more varied.

honestly though, all the garden centers that buys plants from Hawaiian bontanicals resells them way overpriced, even though the selection is larger, it still can't be compared to the online stores or even members.

It was great when HB was open for retails, I used to go there once every week or so to pick up the odd plant and orchid

I see some local nurseries like Morgan Creek Nurseries ( wholesale) carries ant plants , and Florida's Costa Farms carries some hard to come by tropicals selling them to Rona/Lowes/ very cheap ( Raven zz, network calatea, etc) compared to what people sell them on facebook marketplace... also, on the island, they seem to have a good supply of road kill cactus at canadian tire yet I don't see any up here in the vancouver area. Seems places get their stuff with local suppliers. Costoc recently started to carry a good selection of quite big tropicals for just $19.99 as well ( 4.5' fiddle leat, monsteras, snake plants)...
