I have heard of Sarrs growing in soils that are not nutrient poor. Any evidence to back this up?. I have seen several posts on the internet for this as some just using regular potting soil. I had some Purpurea purpurea grow in backyard soil before for 2 years before we moved when I was much much younger. Maybe after a few years their demise would set in? I have also seen Purpurea purpurea in small fish ponds with no issues due to high nutrients of the fish. I have even seen myself people using stick fertilizers around the trumpet pitchers to encourage faster growth.
