Sarr's for pick up (Hold for now)

Thanks! i can convince my mother now!

to be clear, My age tag is wrong, i am actually pretty young

Was away for the weekend and just caught up! The flowers I had on two of mine have opened already, but it could be because they're indoors. They're usually by the windows, which are a bit colder, but perhaps still warm enough to trigger flowering.

They're gorgeous, but hopefully not too stressed!

Sarracenia in poor shape. Any hope or tips? the new growth tips are browning and dying even with enough rain water and light.

sorry, I am a beginner in cp's. I read books but i guess it is harder.:(

Is the soil pure peat? Usually we add perlite to improve aeration. Probably also too wet for now. Using pure water?

can i use grass clippings. Do they have a chance of surviving? The growth tips are a bit brown but still a good white color

Dont worry pure peat can work out for you for a while. It can last at least a season and a half then it gets dense

thank you! i dont know what i would do without cpsc! :)

i will keep on posting updates and see the conditions as they progress.

Some of the growth tips are crispy and brown, Can sarracenias recover? sorry for pestering you, the sarracenias are just crisping fast and look very under the weather.

If the rhizomes are plump and firm, with thick, fibrous, strong roots, the plant should survive.

what should sarracenia roots typically look like.
Browish for the top closest to the rhizome and white tips at the ends. Dark Brown is usually dead BUT can be living all depends on many things so dont go chopping and ripping. Just know white, white brown, brownish white roots is good.
