I bought a S. minor from the Carnivorous Plant Store earlier this spring - the plant I got, based on the tuber, was quite large. At the time it had just one trap. It's now put out a dozen or so traps and I can see a flower stalk emerging. Except that according to Wikipedia, S. minor is supposed to flower in March to May. I'm somewhat baffled - did it's seasonal cues get messed up somehow, or is this a fall-flowering variety? It seems unlikely that the Carnivorous Plant Store would alter it's dormancy period, given the implications for the plant's health. Also, I was going to start it on the path of dormancy on September 21st, but now I wonder if I should wait for the flower, cut it off, or start it on dormancy anyway.
