Pholisma sonorae

Never heard of it. I just googled it very strange and interesting plant, thanks for bringing it up! It would be surprising and amazing to stumble across this in the wilds of Arizona.

incredible plant is not it :)

a bit like the hydnora africana , who is parasitic too.

Lloyd you knew her this one, me no, I was a little surprised by her habitat and her atomic mushroom shape .

There's over a 1,000 species of parasitic plants and so many are amazing; I hardly know which to mention. Tristerix aphyllus is a particular favourite.

what species do you cultivate ?
from seeds or grafting ?

know you Lathree pourpre, I heard about a rhizome cuttings on an injured root of the host ,do you have information on this

Never had a chance with Lathree pourpre. I don't have any personal knowledge of it.
I've grown Nuytsia floribunda but it died after a year. It was very difficult to grow from seed.
I've tried a few Castilleja and still have miniata growing. Still have Viscum minimum and album and Buttonia superba. Gave away Exocarpus spartaeus and Osyris compressa as they got too big. Tried some Lousewort which died after germination. You can see them all in the forum here.
