After much experimentation I believe I have found what many cephs lake in most peoples growing conditions, the use of a Mycorrhiza put into the growing media what is sensual to cephs in the wild ,the symbiotic fungi that naturally occurs in the ceph sites with particular growing plants that most ceph grow with, or soil types ,with most media we use that funi dose not habit naturaly, by introducing a product like Great White or MyCo Gold Mycorrhize the fungi is put into the media and attaches to the roots giving the plant better heath and uptake of what it needs and improving the media the The Bacillus and Trichoderma is also very beneficial if you not sure what these are look them up very interesting to know , none of my ceph have gone backward after using these product and it will not harm your plant in any way ,as long as you use it correctly and not put the powder on top of the plants but around the soil or media its potting in, it works best with media other than live or dead sphag , and never use coco chips or coco peat with cephs , all other mixes i used has work very well and show improvement in there growth habit , this also will happen with helis and neps too . there are a few ways to do or apply these produces ,if you want to know more, let me know, will give you me info what it did , if you seen my large hamata and veitchii and helis , there all had these products for a long time now and i can see the changes its had in size and growth . hope this ifo may be helpful to all ceph growers , it is very good with seedling helping them to establish much better as seen in my Ex-vitro trays of cephs no deaths as you can see :)

The product I been using for the last 2 year or so this MyCo Gold made here in AU i believe , and more available fresher to me rather than Great White , that is usually all most out of date when sold here so i dont use that any more. application is simple and easy non toxic and no harmful to plants

best thing is you dont need a new potting mix ,your present potting mix will improve with this addition , my neps have been in same mix for 6 years now not have to change it still :) , the humic acid is a great addition too , have been experimenting with this for a while now helps with media conditions too

Thanks John for sharing your experience. I have some Great White from Amazon that I'd like to try.

Can you elaborate on how you treat your plants and the dosage strength? It seems as you mix the powder into the media followed by planting but what do you do for potted cephs?

ok sure cpgeek, with White Shark it come with a 5 gm spoon or measurement cup , just use the full amount of the spoon 5gms and sprinkle the powder around the cephs on top of the potting mix, then water in enough to make it go into the mix ,not over water so it runs out so make sure your mix is wet or moist so it holds the powder in the mix, . do that round every 3 to 4 months , then i use that same amount into 8 Lt water mix well and let sit for 1hr then mix again and put into a 8 lt pump spry and foliage spray all the plants, neps, helis ,cephs all love it just not vft or drosera , they dont seem to respond as well , VFT do ok, sticky leaf plant dont do well hope that helps

looks very interesting! All my neps are healthy but Love to do an experiment especially with my baby Heli!
however all my nep pots have thick cover of live spag moss
If I tried this fungi fertilizer I would have to pour the mix ontop of the spag moss so it reaches the top media underneath the live moss.

yes it will fliter through i have the same on many pot in my G/h too , if your not sure just move same sphag away and put on top of the media and water in a bit , if its to strong in a water bottle spray mix and not washed in it can discolour the sphag a bit ,so a weaker solution many be in order if you going down that path
