Hate to bump an old thread, but how simple are these to grow? I absolutely love how aliens heli's look but the highland temp requirements I see everywhere has deterred me as I mainly grow lowland plants :p

I don't tend to go too far outside home conditions for my plants.
For my Heli's, I use a plastic terrarium, lights, two little fans timed with the lights and they do reasonably well. They are on the floor, a good 4-6" further from the lights to keep the temperature down.
So you don't have to go high tech although the best growers do with amazing results.

They are not hard to keep, the main thing is the temperature drop at night. If you can manage to have a drop of 5°C or higher at night, I find that they don't mind a warmer day temperature at all.
