I’ve had pretty good success sowing the seed on a mixture of LFS and perlite topped with some milled sphagnum (dry LFS in an old coffee grinder).

Here are some seedlings around 7 weeks old, they usually start sprouting after 2-3 weeks but can take much longer.

Eventually the milled sphagnum can break down and go slimy, so it’s best to carefully repot the seedlings at this point. Watering with only pure water will help the longevity of the media.

I’m sure there are many other methods! Just my experience
