Growing venus flytrap indoors without dormancy.

I grew them from seed in TC, must have been about 3 years now. Gave a lot away but they keep growing. Have to repot them and give some away again. Always inside under lights. No seasonal change. A nice dark purple Sarr, for the same amount of time, no dormancy. Just keeps growing.
I want to try to grow fly traps without dormancy from now on. Is it a good idea to expose them outdoor summertime to feed with bugs themselves ?

Mine look sort of weird, very short petioles but probably from TC. They just keep on growing and I have more to give away.

I followed Lloyd's suggestion and have been growing mine without dormancy for 2 winters. They generally self feed outside in summer (in a compound I built for CPs). Even though not squirrel proof the birds, chipmunks and squirrels don't bother the plants ... so far. Over winter they are fed rehydrated bloodworms and are occasionally misted with Maxsea or dilute orchid fertilizer. Tiny baby traps receive a wee drop of diluted canned cricket "juice" or crushed fish pellet slurry by syringe until they can accommodate a morsel of b/w. The VFTs seem unaffected by the absence of dormancy. My juvenile Sarrs are also overwintered without dormancy.

how and when can i go about transitioning one of these guys into the zone 8b weather? Going to keep one inside but i want to grow one of these guys outdoors since i can. also, the plant keeps growing in its original rosette and the new leaves are blocking out old ones. Some leaves are looking pretty lanky. advice appreciated

Get the plant out in the sun right away to get it used to the light and heat. Maybe avoid midday sun at first and slowly increase the hours. Keep the medium wet always.
