Growing carnivorous plants on a balcony

Spring is here! I have just finished potting some Sarracenia today. :)

You can't have more squirrels than us. On the deck they're only a problem if there's adjacent nesting sites.
 
Squirrels prefer a protected, hidden area such as a hole in a tree or a space under the deck. If there are no holes or hidden places within 3 meters, the plants should be ok.
 
I don't think squirrels are capable of learning from such a device or using that knowledge in a way that would benefit us.
 
My dog found a peanut 1 foot underground that im assuming a squirrel hid lol the squirrel probably wasnt to happy
 
Actually if you pay attention and splash away the pest, growing outdoors isn't difficult. Natural predators will come and deal with the pest so usually the plants will be fine.
I have seen ladybugs and Stethorus sp. and many other good bugs! :)
