i know nepenthes are like humans lol have their happy times and sad times….
As I’ve had my nepenthes “red” ventricosa since May 2020 ivs noticed it slowed down in growth for last couple of months for first time and wasn’t producing them big mature red pitchers.
This looks like to me she’s taking a break and reserving energy for an even bigger growth?
What’s story behind pitcher plants doing this?

is it though? looks like low grade pest damage to me, browning small lid? or is my monitor messing with me? looking like under sides of leaves damaged too

that's normal :)
no pests in my terria since I’ve had it lol
That’s what it’s staying haha
I have fan in they’re so the plants are nice and happy with a breeze. Sometimes my bigger pitchers will get this mildew around the primstone mouth but wipes off.

pitchers have funny way of telling you they are ready to drop lol

So my Nep ventricosa been growing crazy all year, and Has blasted up these big red pitchers as you guys can see above
. It started to slow down growth but now is producing these light green adult pitchers!
is this a sign of plant maturing or just going through a stage in life lol?

However I do need to raise lights in my tank 6 inches Haven’t found a suitable object yet.

Haven’t posted for a while!
Nearly mid December and everything has settled and growing well. Had some new neps from summer but most of my tank is well over a year and bit old! I’m amazed on how versatile my nep Ventricosa is. Had it sense May 2019. It has changed its cup colours throughout year from vigorous BIG RED PITCHERS to Slim yellow greens & has had off shoots. Very healthy plant even tho it looks like it’s getting to the old stage. lol

My very first and beloved ventricosa I’ve had since May 2020.
Very healthy and growing strong more like vine now…has definitely slowed in growing pitchers since early last fall!

anyone have guess on why it’s not as producing plump red pitchers like this any more? Is this an age thing

what can I do about this basal shoot? It’s like baby plant!!

I wish my ventricosa was looking big & bulbous like this again .. now he’s just long vine with skinny pitchers.

Also my moss is looking little bit rugged and some of tips little burnt.
could this be to do with too much light or the light needing to be higher too? @Lloyd Gordon

I spray about twice a day. Maybe I need to real soak it. Humidity around 65/70%.
maybe I need to do more or feel the drain water up higher so soil absorbs more and moss can get it.
