[Closed] Wistuba Import

I woke up to around 60 restock notifications so I guess we’re doing this again, haha!

I think my order is slated to ship November but I’m not sure. I’m also unsure whether they’ll be a large shop update before then.

I’m running this import a bit differently than my past group orders. Instead of trying to account for every single fee and splitting them among participants, I’ll instead be charging a flat 25% fee + GST/PST. This covers the 10-12% international shipping surcharge, 13% import tax, $150 base shipping, import permits, currency conversion, and a bit leftover to compensate me for my time/gas. Domestic shipping within Canada is extra and will be quoted when the plants arrive. Pickup is free, as usual.

To order, PM me the list of plants you want, specifying clones and size. Links are greatly appreciated. Additionally, place an order on my website for Wistuba Import, this creates a profile in my database that I can use to track orders as well as captures your shipping address for those who need shipping. If your forum username is not your real name, let me know your username in the order comments.
The exchange rate used will be 1.5 CAD/EURO so to calculate the price of your order, take the total plant value of your order and multiple by 1.5 then 1.25 (or just by 1.875) + tax.
Once you message me the plants you want, I'll send you an invoice to pay.
Please send etransfers to payment@kingkarnivores.ca.

November can get pretty cold so I’ll be providing cold weather shipping kits(heat pack + foil bubble wrap insulation) at no additional charge. Alternatively, I can hold your plants until spring (also at no charge). I have plenty of highland space available however I only have very limited lowland setup.

Very complicated work here.
Are you referring to the ordering process? I thought this would actually be simpler for people as it's just one simple up front fee rather than having to account for a bunch of different small ones as well as the rounding applied by AW. This also means people know exactly how much they're paying when they order instead of hoping enough people order to reduce split fees to a manageable amount.

In case anyone was wondering and didn't want to do their own math (and who does, really??), this is a cost-effective way to get plants from Wistuba so long as your plants are worth less than ~333€ before shipping costs. This assumes ~$30 shipping cost within Canada. If you can pick up plants directly from @King Karnivores, you'll save money all the way up to ~400€ of plants.

Apparently I was actually neglecting several hidden fees here. A better estimate would be that you're saving money up to a pre-shipping subtotal of around ~930€ (900€ - 1220€ range, depending on the exact assumptions).

I apologize for making everything more confusing.

Hey all,
This is still open but just changing a few things up to make my life easier. Instead of including GST/PST in the 40% fee I'm charging it separately. Overall, the amount you pay is basically the same but now its a 25% fee with GST/PST charged separately.
Any orders that have already been placed will not be charged any additional $

Wistuba has closed non-EU sales for the year so pausing this import. Theres a chance that it won't be shipped in November due to cold weather so maybe if we're lucky it'll be held until the next major restock

Our order will probably ship this year and not after the next restock so I'll be marking this order as processing.
I'll probably do another Wistuba order next year. Whether thats after the spring restock or summer/fall restock is still TBD. Once things calm down a bit I'll make a poll and see what imports people would be interested in for next year. Stay tuned!

Plants are on the way!
Plants are *actually* on the way now. Was just the shipping notification yesterday. Im making the distinction cause I wanna see if its possible to beat the record fast BCP order ;)
Edit: I *think* technically 3 days is possible. The BCP order was sent Friday, arrived in Canada Sunday, but I didn't get it until Monday because the customs office isn't open on weekends.
