Hello friends, its been awhile!
I was given some Darlingtonia seed a few years back and now the offspring of that batch have flowered and produced beautiful seed so its time to see this go full circle! Growing Cobra’s from seed is a bit touchy but once basic parameters are met its super fun and an excellent indoor winter sport! If you feel you have it in you to set up a small warm propagation area with sufficient supplemental light please feel free to tap in on this seed giveaway! I just did two germination rate tests and the non-stratified seed had 0% germ rate and the seed that was stratified for 14 days got about 110% germ rate lol (see attach). The seed from this batch started germinating for me on day eight.
We will start off with ten spots. One giveaway spot per person. Please only participate if you plan on actually planting the seeds soon as D. califonica tend not to hold strong viability long term . Canada only please. I am happy to cover all shipping in the name of this wonderful hobby.
