Spiders can have a mutually benifical relationship with pitchers. Pitchers draw in the flys and the spider will catch them but the efficient spiders will catch even more flys than the pitchers would catch on their own. The spiders suck the bugs dry and drop the carcass into the pitcher later adding thier own droppings to the pitcher. With likely a higher catch rate and less escapees there’s no loss to the pitcher.

I say let nature do it’s thing.

Two videos taken with handheld. The first from last night - I tried to catch a gnat fly "dancing" around a rotting stem. Only caught the end of her dance. The second is from today - taken about 1 inch from the dance floor.
ps - I suspect the white globe near the center of the frame is a nest of eggs - insert shiver here.
