After I put the seeds on a petri dish they began to stink. I had to rinse them a few times. Now they're getting mouldy. Just asked Aliexpress for a full refund. They could have at least given me something viable like radish seeds. These seem to be some sort of Chinese medicine seed that's gone bad and they couldn't sell it. If it at least germinated, I could have had some fun with them and wouldn't have asked for a refund. Only USD $1.78 anyway.

Amongst the stink and mold, I found 3 seeds germinating! And they look vaguely like previous Euphorbia obesa seeds that aborted after germinating. This cannot be!

False alarm. I don't think the seeds are germinating. I think the seed cases got soft and let in some water. Then the tissues inside absorbed the water and expanded and stuck the radical out. There's no actual growth. If there's no sign of growth tomorrow I'll do a biochemical test for seed viability.

I did the tetrazolium test and the only sign of life was the mould growing on the dead tissues. Into the garbage they go. Somewhere in China there must be people who sell good seeds-it's a big place.

Got 4 items in perfect shape from AE in 18 days! Luckily they didn't go to Vancouver but right to Toronto.

Lucky you. A few weeks ago I ordered from a store a few km from my home (I didn't know at the time otherwise I would have drive there). The package effectively went to BC before coming back to me. Took like 10 days ... I never understand it, the Quebec Post head quarter is in Montreal, a detour there would have been understandable but not to BC ...

@EMBE, I'm a little skeptical of those setups. They are very convenient but I would be worried they wouldn't be bright enough. Is there information on their light output?

Just got some petri dishes and clips to hang lights with. Took 14 days and came on a Saturday. Very well packed and no breakage. They have a new shipping system for combined orders which is fast.
