You could inspect the medium around the roots of the affected plants. If mealies, might be best to change medium.

Adventures of the Travelling Bog Planters

Usually mealybugs are indoor problems, the fresh air, sun and rain (and maybe predators) get rid of them. Check the pots, roots are often infested. For dews and VFT's with mealies, it's often best to dispose of them unless they're valuable plants. Unlike Sarr's, most treatments will kill the plants.

    Mistletoe on dwarf apple tree

Maybe 5 feet with the pot. In Toronto. The post did seem bizarre, like someone who learned English from a book of etiquette. PM me if you want the tree.

    Terrarium and bog build

For most CP needs, peat/perlite is fine. LFS or sand for some special needs.

    Squirrels!

My second floor deck is squirrel central. Coyotes are common here and the squirrels ignore them. Plus the coyotes have a rich diet of rabbits, cats and dogs, squirrels are too skinny for them.

How do I make the substrate for the Pygmy Drosera Gemmae?

Coarse sand is nice to keep the top free of mould and junk moss. I use it on my tuberous dews which I don't repot very often. I find perlite is fine otherwise. One annoyance of sand is recycling and making sure none goes down the drain. I do use it for succulents.

The squirrels here laugh at hot peppers.

    Terrarium and bog build

Ordinary garden or potting soil wouldn't necessarily have added nutrients but could still be overload for sensitive plants.

    What magnification is that?

    Squirrels!

I had my containers out to collect some rain water. My wife found the racoons cavorting about. I shooed them away and luckily there was already a lot of water to bring in.
